Elrond Lawrence is a writer, photographer, and PR consultant with a passion for railroads, vintage highways and historic towns. He manages communications and social media for the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real, plus social media and communications for the Los Angeles Railroad Heritage Foundation, and continues to produce freelance writing and photography projects.

Elrond’s work appears regularly in Trains magazine, books, and calendars. His first coffee-table book, Route 66 Railway, is back in print as an expanded second edition.

A confessed fan of Star Wars, Star Trek, and all things geek, Elrond is a media junkie and SF Giants baseball fan. He lives in California’s Monterey County with his wife Laura, daughter Kat, and three cats.

He grew up in Southern California and earned his degree in Communication from California State University, San Bernardino. From 1990 to 2000 he worked in public relations for Kaiser Permanente, followed by the Ketchum agency and the San Jose Downtown Association. From 2003-2012 he worked with HRmarketer, a marketing services and software agency focused on human resources and healthcare.
